Paul Cilia joined Madison Marcus as a Non-Executive Director and Special Advisor in late August 2023. With over 3 decades experience in the banking and finance industry, Paul has successfully bought, managed, and sold businesses across Australia, the UK, and Canada.
Over a career spanning 27 years at Macquarie Bank, Paul held numerous senior roles including long-term Executive Director, Head of Commercial Property Lending, Head of Growth and Segment Strategy for Macquarie Business Banking, and Executive Committee Member of Macquarie’s Business & Corporate Bank in Australia. Additionally he was executive sponsor of Macquarie’s Corporate & Leveraged Finance and Dealer Finance businesses in Australia.
Today Paul holds several board and advisory roles including The NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service Conservation Trust, Umwelt Environmental Services and EVDirect (the distributors of BYD Electric Vehicles in Australia). He holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of NSW and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Services.
