Leon Huynh joined Madison Marcus in 2022 as an Associate in the Banking & Finance Division. Experienced in advising large corporates and investment banks on a wide range of cross-border financing, capital market offerings of equity and debt securities as well as banking regulation, Leon has assisted with numerous matters across various jurisdictions including Australia, New Zealand, and the broader Asia-Pacific.

Having expertise in advising trustees in capital market debt security offerings, Leon also has assisted on syndicated loan facilities, de-SPAC transactions, large corporate banking facilities and cross-border aviation financing deals. With a history of work in a diverse range of areas including restructuring and insolvency, real estate, construction and M&A work, Leon provides a broad spectrum of experience in his banking and asset financing work.

Leon also specialises in advising entities on their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), engaging with clients in a holistic manner to advise and assist with the identification, analysis and mitigation of modern slavery risk and the publication of modern slavery statements for a diverse range of corporate entities across multiple industries.

An advocate for legal technology, Leon has assisted in the deployment of legal technology relating to collaborative project management and document automation to drive efficient and intuitive legal practice.
