We are proud to announce that James Moir has been appointed as a Director at Madison Marcus.
James leads the Strata Division of Madison Marcus and was admitted as a solicitor more than 25 years ago, with a keen interest and specialisation in strata law for the past 7 years.
With a background predominantly in property law, James has particular expertise in selling common property, amending and terminating strata plans, acquiring easements, all facets of by-law work including developer by-laws, as well as collective sales and redevelopments.
James has also developed a strong practice in the litigation areas of strata law, including running contested Tribunal hearings, tree root matters, dividing fence cases and advising in various access to neighbouring land matters.
James also has extensive experience in defect claims, acting for both owners corporations and builders and developers. This places James and his team at Madison Marcus in a strong position to understand how to resolve these matters quickly and cost-effectively.
James has been heavily involved in education, having presented seminars to other lawyers, and has given many educational seminars to strata managers.
