The Opportunity
We are currently seeking experienced Strata Law Lawyers (Lawyers and Associates) with 3-4 years’ PQE to join our growing team in Sydney CBD. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects and complex construction matters while advancing your career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Strata Lawyer/Associate, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert legal advice on strata law, including disputes between owners, managers, and bodies corporate.
- Advising on the interpretation and enforcement of strata schemes, bylaws, and common property rights.
- Representing clients in strata disputes before tribunals, courts, and in alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating strata-related documents such as agreements, management contracts, and bylaw amendments.
- Assisting clients with compliance matters relating to strata regulations, insurance, and governance.
- Keeping up-to-date with legal and regulatory changes in the strata and property sector.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent and a current practising certificate.
- 3-4 years’ post-qualified experience (PQE) in strata law or property law.
- Strong knowledge of strata legislation, bylaws, and dispute resolution processes.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and litigation skills.
- Proven ability to manage a varied caseload and provide timely, practical legal solutions.
- A client-focused approach, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
