The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Property Law Licensed Conveyancer with minimum 3 years of experience to join our growing team in Melbourne CBD. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage residential and commercial conveyancing matters while advancing your career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Conveyancer, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the legal aspects of property transactions, including buying, selling, and transferring property titles.
- Conducting searches and due diligence to ensure that all legal requirements are met for property transactions.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts for sale, transfer documents, and settlement statements.
- Liaising with clients, real estate agents, financial institutions, and other professionals to ensure smooth property transactions.
- Managing the settlement process, including coordinating the exchange of contracts, handling funds, and registering documents with the relevant authorities.
- Advising clients on their rights and obligations in property transactions, including legal implications of terms and conditions.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and legal requirements in the property sector.
- Keeping accurate records of transactions and maintaining communication with clients throughout the process.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant qualification in conveyancing and a current licence to practice as a conveyancer.
- Minimum 3 years experience in property law and conveyancing, with a strong understanding of the legal processes involved in property transactions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Strong communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple terms.
- Proficiency in conveyancing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle high-pressure situations.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving issues that may arise during transactions.
