The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our growing team in Sydney CBD. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of financial and administrative tasks while advancing your career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
As an Accounts Clerk (Receivables/Credit Control), your responsibilities will include:
- Managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments from clients/customers.
- Monitoring overdue accounts and liaising with clients to ensure payments are made promptly.
- Maintaining accurate records of transactions and updating client accounts.
- Processing invoices, credit notes, and payment receipts in accordance with company policies.
- Assisting with the reconciliation of accounts and investigating any discrepancies.
- Reporting on aged debtors, highlighting issues and providing recommendations for resolution.
- Coordinating with internal teams (e.g., sales, customer service) to resolve any billing or payment issues.
- Ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures, and helping to improve credit control processes.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, credit control processes, and invoicing.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with clients.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing competing priorities.
