The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions Associate  with 3-4 years’ PQE to join our growing team in Sydney CBD. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects and complex merger and acquisition matters while advancing your career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions Associate, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert legal advice on corporate law matters, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate governance.
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of complex M&A transactions, from inception to completion.
  • Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing transactional documents such as sale agreements, shareholder agreements, and due diligence reports.
  • Advising clients on regulatory and compliance matters related to corporate law.
  • Collaborating with clients, including multinational corporations, private equity firms, and entrepreneurs, to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Staying informed on legal developments, market trends, and best practices in M&A and corporate law.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent and a current practising certificate.
  • 3–4 years’ post-qualified experience (PQE) in corporate and M&A law.
  • Strong understanding of corporate structures, transactional processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach, commercial insight, and commitment to client success.
