MEDIA RELEASE:
Sydney, Australia – Madison Marcus is proud to announce that Michael Dickson, the outstanding punter for the Seattle Seahawks, attended our Sydney office to formally sign for his participation with FSHD Global Research Foundation Ltd in the NFL’s “My Cause My Cleats” campaign. The campaign encourages NFL players to reveal their passions beyond the game and wear their hearts on their feet through customised cleats.
In attendance at the signing were a number of distinguished guests, including FSHD Director Bill Moss, his wife Lata Moss, and his daughter Natalie Cooney (Å„ee Moss), Chair of FSHD. Also present were Luke Todd, CEO of EVDirect (distributor of BYD Electric Vehicles in Australia), a client of Madison Marcus and sponsor of FSHD, and Madison Marcus CEO, Bechara Shamieh, an active member of the board of directors of FSHD. Madison Marcus Lawyer Ninsun Gabriel and Head of Marketing, Events & PR Kira Zanotti were also in attendance.
Michael Dickson is passionate about raising awareness for Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD), a rare form of muscular dystrophy that affects approximately one in 8,000 people. Through “My Cause My Cleats,” Dickson will wear cleats to raise awareness for FSHD Global Research Foundation and highlight the impact on those who suffer from FSHD (Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy).
At the event, Dickson spoke about his desire to use his platform as an NFL player to raise awareness for FSHD and discovered the research and development being done by FSHD to find a cure. He thanked Madison Marcus and EV Direct for their support and expressed his hope that the “My Cause My Cleats” campaign would help bring attention to this important cause.
Madison Marcus is honoured to have hosted Michael Dickson for this important signing, and we look forward to seeing him wear his custom FSHD cleats on the field in the upcoming NFL season. We are proud to support the work being done by FSHD Global Research Foundation, and we hope that Michael’s participation in “My Cause My Cleats” will inspire others to use their platforms to make a positive impact in the world.
