Jessica is a Senior Associate in Madison Marcus’ Commercial Litigation & Insolvency Division in Sydney. Since starting her legal career as a paralegal under Managing Director Ramy Qutami, Jessica has made strong and meaningful contributions in various matters, working for high-profile clients. In doing so, Jessica has obtained valuable experience working in fields including but not limited to employment law, defamation contractual matters, and sports industry transactional and dispute resolution matters.
Since her admission as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW in July 2020, Jessica has narrowed her focus and elected to specialise in commercial litigation. In doing so, Jessica is quickly developing as an industry leader in matters relating to commercial dispute resolution, debt recovery, defamation, and contractual disputes. Additionally, Jessica has developed a sound understanding of litigation through her involvement in Supreme Court litigation, establishing impressive advocacy skills whilst drawing upon her commercial experience in reaching favourable settlement of disputes, including the drafting of settlement documentation and instruments.
Jessica is personable and has developed solid relationships with existing and prospective clients. She is commercially driven and understands that successful outcomes are measured by her client expectations and business requirements as opposed to simply achieving a successful outcome by reference to a judgment. A perseverant and enthusiastic person, Jessica always enjoys a challenge whether at work or beyond.
